April Fools – An Anniversary

It all started on April Fool’s Day.

Today marks the first day of our 20th year of doing BADRAP. 
Twenty! Holy wow.

This gorgeous spring day comes with the knowing that it’s not “One dog at a time” that pushes the needle to a better place, but “One person, one family, one community at a time.”

But of course. 

So today, we’re tapping the heels of our ruby red slippers together and singing, “There’s no place like home. There’s no place like home” … For each and every one of us – dog, cat and human family alike.

The humans – who are here for political asylum from war torn countries – are still hoping to find their’s, but for one brilliant afternoon, we were all at home with each other. How perfect is that?
