Monet ~ Family style sweetheart

Found as a stray in Richmond, CA this itty bitty girl was taken in by a Good Samaritan who noted how social she was with the neighborhood kids. She’s just delightful. She’s enjoying life in a foster home and soaking up all the attention she gets.

Two-ish years old. Her foster dad tells us that she’s very obedient, big on cuddling and cheerful with everyone. VERY people focused and intuitive with warm eye contact. Monet seems to read the body language of her people like a book. Easy to walk, no leash grumbles or drama.

She’s been ‘sound sensitive,’ meaning that loud unexpected noises startle her, but she recovers quickly. We expect this startle factor will fade as she continues to decompress.

Her best dog friend is Cooper the puppy. She participated in play group at the animal shelter where we found her, but kept to herself with the exception of a cute boy dog that she enjoyed running around with. She won’t tell us why (breed prejudice?)  but she doesn’t like Jaco, our Husky helper dog at the Barn. Since she’s been fickle with dogs, we’re going to match her with a home that understands and respects her wishes. With proper intros and management, we believe she can live with a cat.

Please let us know if you’d like to meet her and we’ll send you an application to help us learn about your Wish List for a new friend.
