People loving. Sensitive. So connected.
Three year old Susi came to us as a very stressed new mother in early August after giving birth in an overcrowded animal shelter. It was a rocky start and most of her puppies died as a result, but she's so people-focused that our volunteers' TLC - massages, tender words, special alone time - helped her to relax and finally settle in to a healthy routine. Now that her four surviving pups are weaned, she's spayed and ready to look for a new home.
She's low/medium energy dog who cares more about following you around than anything. Sofa time, easy walks, and soaking up attention are her favorite pastimes. Susi did not trust other dogs when she first joined us, but has been an excellent mama and is starting to flirt with her adult dog pal Eddie.
We predict good things for Susi. She's certainly been patient during her long wait for Home.
