Good Sam Support

Eric had never had a dog but decided to bring him in off the streets when he was stray. With some support, he felt confident enough to house him, file the found dog report and public notices, get vaccines and then bring him to our classes. Eric is the best kind of Good Samaritan – He was patient, open minded, full of good questions and he listened thoughtfully to every piece of advice.

When no one claimed ‘Guiness,’ he was neutered through our Keep’Em Home program. He was shy at first, but his confidence improved up as he bonded with his new caretakers. He’s especially gentle with their toddler, and Eric and his wife soon they decided he was home for keeps. We loved seeing them in class together and their steady improvements.

What a joy it is to help Good Samaritans help lost dogs like Guiness. Keeping him out of our crowded city animal shelter ensured his survival and also opened kennel space in the shelter for other lost dogs..
