A gentle exit.
We all hoped that it was just a blockage, and Blaze would be just fine after a quick surgery but sadly, the mass turned out to be an aggressive form of cancer. The ‘Rainy Day’ grant, meant for helping him get better, instead gave his person the comfort of an at-home euthanasia and cremation. We wish the outcome could’ve been happier, but a gentle end in known surroundings gave them both a kinder way to say good-bye.
With thanks to Dr. Collins of VCA Bay Area Pet Hospital for her good care of Blaze and for her kind compassion and care towards his person.
