Solutions during C-19

In response to challenging times, our Keep’Em Home program created new ways to bring help to dog owners in need of support.

BADRAP Connect is an initiative that matches helpers who have time and some resources to people who are especially challenged by the shelter in place orders and lack of income.

This dog lives in a van with her owner, who is on permanent disability due to a spinal cord injury. He needed quick support to help him stay clean so he could avoid infection. Volunteers quickly mobilized to identify a place to park that was near running water and showers. Because he’d been relying on discarded food from a dumpster to get by, he received donated groceries.

Every case and every challenge is different, so we have to stay nimble and problem solve on the go. We couldn’t do this without volunteer support and community donations.
