Signing up for Pit Ed Classes:

BAD RAP's Pit Ed Classes are designed to help you and your pit bull learn how to be a better team. Your dog will learn self control around intense distractions, and you'll learn safe, humane handling skills so your dog can be a Breed Ambassador. We cover pit bull history, behavior specific to the breed, understanding and dog tolerance levels, basic obedience, socialization, responsible ownership must-knows, preventing fights and breaking up a dog fight, and basic problem solving.

Classes are $60-$100 sliding scale. Full scholarships are available. Dogs from BAD RAP or from Berkeley Animal Care Services attend FREE of charge.

We meet in Berkeley from 10-11am every Saturday for 6 weeks. Sorry, no other locations at this time and NO PUPPIES under 10 months old. Also, please note that due to the high risks associated with dog park use, we're unable to help folks looking to improve off leash manners.

Photo: Jaime's working 'Buzz' in Pit Ed Class. Don't feel intimidated, Buzz was a total spazz when he first started. We don't mind if your dog is rowdy and leash reactive in the beginning. This is normal behavior for an untrained pit bull!

Classes Run Very FULL. It can take up to six months to get in. If you're desperate however and your dog's life is on the line, please tell us your situation. To get on the wait list, send an email with this information. Thank you for your patience as we try to get you and your dog some help!
